The Last Goodbye is the fourth studio album by the American electronic music duo Odesza, released on 22 July 2022. It was their first full album in five years (since A Moment Apart), and it marks a shift toward a more cinematic, nostalgic sound. The duo used actual home video audio from their childhoods throughout the record, giving it a very personal, "looking back at life" vibe.

1. This Version of You (feat. Julianna Barwick)

The intro track. It sets the tone with spoken word elements about "becoming who you are." It’s less of a song and more of a mood setter to prepare your ears for the production quality.

2. Wide Awake (feat. Charlie Houston)

A bouncy, syncopated track that feels like classic ODESZA but with a darker, clubbier edge.

3. Love Letter (feat. The Knocks)

A high-energy house track. This is the one you play when you want to run through a wall.

4. Behind the Sun

Inspired by Iranian music (sampling "Seizet the Day" by Simin Ghanem). The Vibe: The drumline on this track is absolutely massive. It was heavily used in their live shows with the ODESZA Drumline.

5. Forgive Me (feat. Izzy Bizu)

A groovy, disco-influenced pop track. It’s one of the catchiest songs on the album.

6. North Garden

A chill, instrumental-heavy track with some vocal chops. It feels like driving through a forest in the Pacific Northwest (which makes sense, since they are from Seattle).

7. Better Now (feat. MARO)

So what if I fall?

Better that I try instead of nothing at all

And I can say it's my fault

I really don't mind, at least I gave it a go

8. The Last Goodbye (feat. Bettye LaVette)

The title track. Fun Fact: The vocals are a sample from the 1965 song "Let Me Down Easy" by Bettye LaVette. ODESZA managed to take a soulful blues track and turn it into an electronic anthem without losing the emotion.

9. All My Life

A short interlude track.

10. Equal (feat. Låpsley)

A darker, moodier track that brings the energy down a bit before the finale.

11. Healing Grid

Another interlude that transitions seamlessly into the next track.

12. I Can't Sleep

A rhythmic, sample-heavy track that feels like a callback to their earlier In Return era.

13. Light of Day (feat. Ólafur Arnalds)

The closer. It starts with a gentle piano riff from Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds and builds into a chaotic, euphoric explosion of sound.
